How to Plan a GREAT Picnic

The location of the picnic must be accessible to everyone attending. It should be centrally located and also have various amenities to accommodate people of all ages.

Plan Activities

Activities will keep your guests and their children occupied. We all know that if your guests don't have things to do during their day, they will soon get bored and wish they were somewhere else. Activities will also provide a means for your guests to get to know each other and give them the feeling of camaraderie.

Arrange Great Food

The Westchester Picnic Company has various menus to accommodate everyone's taste and budget, from "No Frills" to the "Ultimate BBQ" and everything in between.  We can prepare it all!  Let our professionally trained staff prepare and serve the menu of your choice.  We can cook on-site with our mobile equipment, or we can bring food already prepared to any location.  Whatever the menu, let us do the work while you enjoy the picnic!

    Tents are a form of insurance. They provide shelter in the event of bad weather and shade from the hot sun. Tents come in various sizes. Colors are available in limited sizes.

    Measuring Tablecloths

    How do you measure for Square and Rectangular tablecloths?

    Step 1: To determine the size of your cloth you need to know the dimensions of your table and the desired drop.

    Drop sizes are as follows:

    • 10"-12" to lap level
    • 15" for standard banquet table (any size)
    • 29"-30" to the floor (depending on table height)

    Step 2: Once you have these dimensions, to determine the cloth size, add the drop X 2 to each dimension of your table.

    Example: Table size 30"W x 72"L, and the desired drop is 12"

         CLOTH SIZE = 54" X 96" rectangular

    How do you measure for Round tablecloths?

    Step 1:To determine the size of your round cloth you need to know the diameter of your table and the desired drop.

    Drop sizes are as follows:

    • 10"-12" to lap level
    • 15" for standard banquet table (any size)
    • 29"-30" to the floor (depending on table height)

    Step 2: Once you have the table diameter, to determine the cloth size, add the drop X 2 to the diameter of your table.

    Example: Table diameter is 60" and the desired drop is 12"
